The day after the awards, we had a lovely luncheon at the French Consul’s home where all of the French nominees were celebrated.  SONG was a co-production, so our team was included…

The rest of the team flew home and Tomm & I then flew to San Francisco for SONGS AND SECRETS, an exhibit celebrating the pre-production artwork for SONG OF THE SEA and THE SECRET OF KELLS.
The exhibit runs through June 21st at the Cartoon Art Museum.

We came early to check out the goods…
Amazing.

  1. Hi there!

My daughter (5yrs old) is absolutely obsessed with Song of the Sea. She has been for months and months now. She hums the songs, the seal is her favorite animal, she wants to name her kids Ben and Saoirse...she adores every bit of the movie. During Halloween, she wanted me to carve Saoirse on the pumpkin, specifically the part where she falls off the dog and has a white strand in her hair and she's hugging her knees. She made me run through the movie and pause at that exact scene. She has been asking for a song of the sea themed birthday party, but unfortunately, I've come to find out from weeks of looking online, that there is absolutely no merchandise. Is there anything, anywhere, that I could purchase SOMETHING for her?

By the way, Secret of the Kells is amazing too!!
